Gorod MTL

GorodMTL (meaning City of Montreal in Russian) is a media project created for people from Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, and anyone interested in life in Canada.

From its launch in November 2018 until October 2020, I was responsible for the project’s branding, production, and post-production. I was also responsible for writing on-screen content and script for the original video series.

To reflect the GorodMTL vibrant media personality, the logo was designed to be bold and expressive. The microphone silhouette symbolizes voice, dialogue, and community connection.

The color palette pairs vibrant orange with deep violet, blending creativity and warmth with confidence and style. This contrast ensures strong visibility across all media.

A travel series exploring destinations across Montreal, Canada, and beyond. Each episode offered practical travel tips and inspiration.

The featured Fort Lauderdale episode guided viewers through beaches, city life, and insider recommendations for a memorable trip.

A real estate series focused on housing. The episodes covered topics such as buying and renting, market trends, home design, and useful tips for newcomers navigating the local real estate.

A cooking show hosted by Airat Ichmouratov, a Russian-Canadian composer, conductor, and klezmer clarinetist with a passion for food.

In each episode, Maestro shared his favourite recipes, cooking techniques, and local ingredient finds.
